ORLANDO (May 22, 2019) – Runway to Hope, Central Florida’s largest and premier charity event, is excited to announce that it broke its own fundraising records, as well as those of all other fundraising charity galas in Orlando, raising approximately $1.5 million at this past Saturday night’s The Adam Michael Rosen Foundation Presents Runway to Hope’s 2019 Spring Soirée. The dollars raised will help fund programs in all three children’s pediatric oncology programs in Central Florida as well as directly benefit children through Runway to Hope’s Family Assistance Program.
More than 2,200 guests descended upon Rosen Shingle Creek this past Saturday night to attend the star-studded, ninth-year event in support of the true stars of the evening – 150 cancer warriors affected by pediatric cancer. The children ranged in age from 1 to 18 and were escorted on the runway, hand-in-hand, by local and national celebrities, to rousing applause.
National celebrities included Shark Tank star, Daymond John, Dancing with the Stars champion, Lindsay Arnold and Runway to Hope veteran and hometown favorite, Joey Fatone, all three of whom served as the evening’s hosts, along with Runway to Hope co-founder, businessman, and attorney, Mark NeJame and his wife, Josie.
“We are humbled and beyond excited for the outpouring of support Runway to Hope has received from Central Florida as we join together to help these courageous children and their families as they battle pediatric cancer, “said co-founder Josie NeJame. “This record setting year will allow us to help even more kids and for that we are so thankful.” she added.
Runway to Hope is honored to have been recognized 14 times in their nine-year existence as Central Florida’s Best Charity Event and has raised many millions for the cause of beating pediatric cancer.
